Downgrade from 2010 to 2007?

As I have a droid phone, and Outlook 2010 doesn't work with Google Calendar Sync (according to the research I've done, it's because of MS and not Google), I'd like to use Outlook 2007.



I am running Windows 7, and purchased a copy of Office 2010 instead of 2007, which was clearly a dumb move. Now, can I downgrade Outlook to 2007 without purchasing a copy of 2007?

Okay, thanks for telling me. I've heard of an app called gsyncit that supposedly syncs google calendar with Outlook 2010. So we'll see if it works!

It is good idea to use sync software. Also you can use the pst recovery or Outook extraction software. For example: Outlook Export Wizard allows to extract emails, calendar, contacts etc. It saves Outlook items as files of appropriate formats (emails as MSG or EML, calendar as VCF (virtual card file)). But it also able to save all data as MSG files, so you can just drag MSG files extracted from Outlook 2010 and drop them to the Outlook 2007 folder. With Outlook Recovery Wizard you can just proceed the recovery and it should save the PST file in compatible format.
I used the export wizard for the same task, that was fast and convenient.

I upgraded to 2010 from 2007 and am having major sync issues with my iPhone and CalDev (syncing corporate emails). My busisiness does not yet support 2010 and as much as I like it I did consider running 2007 for Outlook alone, trying to leave the rest of 2010 alone, however, I think that's asking for trouble.

How do I go back to Office 2007? Since I have the disks and keys for 2010 and 2007, is it as simple as saving my .PST's, etc. and removing 2010 and reinstalling Office 2007?

Or, is there an automated way to do a downgrade, as there is for upgrades? Thank you.
