Outlook "online?" how to make changes to email accounts
I am NO expert!
Trying to set up new laptop and Downloaded Office from my MS account and I seem to have the "online" version of Outlook. Don't know why, did not know this was a thing until the last 5 min. I know the Outlook you have on your computer (deskktop), I know about 365, I don't know anything about this "online" version. which sucks imo. So atm I have, or rather OUTLOOK has, done the setup for the email accounts. IMAP. I know what the settings are suppose to be. OUTLOOK did it wrong! Can't send and I know why, I just can't change it. All it does is show me what the settings are with no option to change that I can see. There is no "FILE" button to go to account details where you can make changes, like you can with the desktop version. Right now, I want to know HOW to make changes to my mail accounts to get my emails working. My Issue is the outgoing Secure Connection Type is wrong. Would like to get email working until I can figure out how to get the desktop version installed. Thank you for your time. I have a spectrum email account.. |

For recent desktop versions of Office (e.g. 365) do the following:
1) Go to File. 2) Select the account you wish to change. 3) Select Account Settings. 4) Select Server Settings. Hope this helps. |
