Outlook 2003 underlines the mail

Hi all.
So I received a new mail with a *.doc attachment, I'm opening it (double-click) I read the text in the *.doc file then I'm closing it after this the "mail name" is underlined in Inbox, why ? I don't want this to happen, what should I do ?
