Folders and sub-folders collapse unexpectedly
Outlook 2021 Pro
Windows 11 Home I've used Outlook for decades. This problem has plagued various versions over many years, but now, it's occurring even more frequently. I have hundreds of folders and sub-folders. The View setting is Group by...Expand/Collapse default: "As last viewed." Sometimes it happens when I am at my computer and have clicked Send/Receive All Folders. Occasionally, it happens when I'm away from the computer. Very annoying! Is there a permanent fix? Thanks. |

Not sure if this is a fix, but it is an easy way to expand every collapsed sub-folder in a tree-view. Make sure the top-level folder in the Outlook folders has keyboard focus, and then press + on the numeric keypad. This expands every folder and sub-folder beneath the top-level folder.

Thanks for this, but what I was hoping for was to maintain the "As Last Viewed" setting. Expanding all folders and sub-folders is definitely not what I need to do.
