Default what happened to a one click to open my mail

What needs to be done to open mail with one click? I now have to left-click twice & it opens in a new window. It started a couple of days ago & I can't find where to change it back to a one-click opening.

Try changing this File Explorer setting:

Control Panel > File Explorer Options > Single-click to open an item
