Default Meeting updates for all attendees - Busy...

Hi all,

I received a request to check why the meeting creator can not change the meeting status from Busy/Tentative or to any other status for all attendees of the meeting. For example, when the meeting is created with the status Busy, the meeting creator after a while decides to change the status to Tentative, this change does not reflect in the attendees' calendars. This is normal behavior? I read a couple of threads already and I am confused if this should work. I mean the change of the status for all attendees should apply when the creator does so or is normal that each attendee, one by one, must change the status of the meeting in their calendar to align with the status that has been changed by the creator?

Scenario looks like this:
a) a meeting request is created with "show as" status=tentative
b) the attendee's accept the meeting
b) later the meeting creator changes only the "show as" status to busy
c) the attendee's get a meeting update (you do not have to reply) BUT their meeting does not change from tentative to busy.

Office 365, corporate, the same happens in OWA.
