Default Outlook doesn't export exceptions to recurring appointments?

OUTLOOK 2007

I export all of my calendar appointments to TSV files for further processing (they're used to create invoices). Just by chance today I happened to notice that a whole weeks appointments for a certain client were not exported. The only thing I can see that is different about them is that they are exceptions to recurring appointments, I had shifted the times on them slightly.

Is this a known issue? Now I'm worried that the occasional appointment has been lost over time, with me having no idea that exceptions are not exported.

If this is an issue, can anyone tell me whether or not it's been fixed in Outlook 2010? If not, this may be the straw that broke the camel's back - I will have to finally abandon Outlook.
