Outlook 365 - created new group but won't send emails

I have someone who has created a contact group in outlook for office 365. They've created a contact group - other groups work ok.
With this particular group, they are added to the To field - write the email and click on send but nothing happens.
The send button 'clicks' if that makes sense but the message just stays there.
