Same PST not corrupt on 1 PC but corrupt on other
I bought a new PC. I have Office 2019 and Windows 11 on both old and new PC. When I try to import 2GB PST from old PC (where Outlook works fine), the new PC said same PST is corrupt. I formatted the USB stick before copying the PST onto it. On both PC's when I run scanpst it says there are errors, and these get repaired. However on old PC, Outlook would always run fine, before and after scanpst. On new PC, after trying to import PST I get an error: "Something is wrong with one of your data files, and Outlook needs to close. Outlook might be able to fix your file". I ran scanpst again, and when I went into Outlook, I noticed <1% of emails had been imported, so I tried to import repaired PST (file/open/import etc) it came up with another error "This Outlook data file (.pst) is already in use in the current profile". It makes no sense that my old pc reads the PST fine, but new PC won't import 99% of the emails. Any suggestions? |

... sorry I omitted that after "I ran scanpst again", I did an Outlook update (via File, Office Account, Update Options, Update Now).

While waiting I reduced PST from 2GB to 1.4GB, deleting non vital emails.
I rand scanpst, and everything works now. |
