Default Outlook 2010 new messages do not show in Inbox

Since my Microsoft 365 stopped working on my desktop Win 7 pc, I have reinstalled my old Office 2010 pro (thanks Almighty I kept the CDs and the Product Key). I have two accounts, both are Google. Using pop.gmail.com server for incoming mail. Tests messages were sent OK (I can see them on my phone and my Win 11 laptop. Outlook 2010 has connected to my pst data folder and downloaded all old messages from there to my Inbox (common for both accounts). Delivery location is set to myID@mygooglemail\Inbox
Now the problem on which I already spent two days trying to solve is:
Although incoming new messages are added to my Outlook pst file (judging from the fact that I can see that the pst file was updated at the times of my sending test messages). However, no new messages are added to my Inbox (I can see them on my laptop but not in Outlook on my PC). Also clicking ‘Send/Receive’ button does not bring the little window showing progress of checking sent and receive actions. It may be that it is also not working.
I can send new messages without any problems.
Many hanks for any help and/or suggestions!
