Default Address Book problem after upgrade from MSO '03 to '10

Hi,

I've recently upgraded from Microsoft Office 2003 to 2010.

I'm really pleased with the majority of the changes, but I'm having one problem when using 'Outlook' e-mail.

When I'm ready to send a new e-mail and I want to send to multiple adresses I do the following...

Click the 'To' button....

In the newly opening 'Select Names' window I select a title from the drop down list....

I then highlight the addresses I want and drop them into the 'cc' or 'bcc' area.

This worked very well in the 2003 installation, but since upgrading to 2010, many of my address books have the word '(mobile)' after the title, e.g. 'carehomes ( mobile)'

These address books will not show any name listings in the 'name, display name, address book' area of the 'Select Names' Window?????

Some of the smaller address books remain as they were and I can access the lists of individual e-mails.

Have I lost these lists of e-mails, with the word (mobile) at the end of the listing, somehow?

I do have a backup of the original 2003 .pst file before I updated to 2010, but I'm not sure how best to use this?

Any advice on how to recover the address books would be gratefully received!

Ian.

To help troubleshoot this issue, can you supply some additional information;

- The contacts that have '(Mobile)" after their name, where these contacts found on your mobile device?

- Do the Mobile Contacts contain valid e-mail address?

Answers to these 2 questions could help determine whether or not these were contacts found on your device and maybe only contained a contact phone number rather then an email address.

To import a .pst file follow these directions;

1. File
2. Open
3. Import/Export
4. Import from another program or file
5. Outlook data file(pst)
6. Locate the pst file you wish to import

Please Note: You will have a choice to handle duplicates. please select the proper duplicate selection.

hope this helps
