Is there a way to configure/enable notification of sub-folder's in outlook?

I'm not sure what it means to configure or enable notification of sub-folders. Can you explain?

Is there a way i can get the notifications of the subfolders under inbox folder.

I think, even if you're using rules to send incoming messages to subfolders, you should still just get the same general mail notifications. It won't reflect where the message was sent to be stored.

When creating a new rule to move messages to folders, there are notification options you can choose, including display a new item alert and play a sound.
