How to make Outlook auto-detect email addresses pasted from a table
When copying a long column of email addresses from a table & pasting it into the To: bar in Outlook, all the email addresses will STICK TOGETHER. Is there a quick way to separate them so that Outlook can recognize individual addresses? |

If the data has an e-mail format, when you copy by column Outlook automatically detects and separates adding the ";" when you click some other field.
If you copy by row (data side by side), automatic detection will not occur. |

the table is in the email itself. I copied the email column & pasted over in the To: field + clicked away, but it didn't separate them automatically.

Ok, I now realize what you are doing. I was pasting directly from an Excel table (or list), but it's the same.
If I first paste to the Body of an email and then select a column and Copy/Paste to address fields the email addresses are pasted one under the other and separate when I click away. Tried in many ways, in some cases had to insert an empty column on the right of the email column then select both and do Copy/Paste/Click away. |
