Default Crashes since updating Outlook Connector on 30 September 2010

Please can anyone advise how to get Outlook 2007 working again. I was required to update Outlook Connector yesterday and since doing so Outlook freezes - no error message displayed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Connector but it did not help. The update was required in order to continue to access my e-mail with Outlook.

Do you use a Hotmail account, and did you try reinstalling the whole Office package?

Thanks. Yes, I do use a Hotmail account. I have not tried reinstalling the whole Office package yet. Could be worth a go.

I think that just reinstalling Office COULD be the solution

I can't garentee it, ofcourse, but I really think this is all that it will take.

Default solution

See http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...d-23269a7e4474

I had to create a new profile.

Default outlook

I created a new identity which worked ok. However, a new (less serious) problem has developed. The Favourite Folders view changes every time I shut down and open up Outlook again. ANy ideas?

Sorry..I don't use favorites in Outlook...if you still have warranty on the software, call your manufacturer's software dept/team, they can help you, they have helped me. Good luck..

Favorites are likely to be resetted anytime to close Outlook, and show the folder you visit the most.

I don't know how to fix this though
Sorry that I can't be much help at this point.
