Problem- Outlook does not cache additional mailboxes
We have recently come across a problem where users which have additional mailboxes added into there own outlook profile are unable to use the cached exchange mode facility on the additional mailboxes :? - this has become a problem for us as we have many remote sites which connect to an exchange server in a different country/region. The cached exchange mode does work for the main mailbox but as soon as an additional mailbox is added to the outlook profile (although it is set to use the cached mode) it is obvious due to the difference in performance between opening a mail from the main users mailbox and the additional mailbox that the cached mode does not function for the added accounts/mailboxes.
Any help/advice on this would be much appreciated.... |

Hi
I am having the same problem with a mailbox that is shared between several users. Any attachment from the shared mailbox is taking over 30 seconds to open. This is an exchange mailbox that is added to each end-users outlook profile as an "additional mailbox" If i create a new outlook profile with this shared mailbox this will obviously create a new .ost with this mailbox as the primary. ALL attachments open instantly from this outlook profile Is there any way to speed up the performance of opening attachment (and emails) when the mailbox is used as an "additional mailbox'? Appreciate your assistance in advance |
