Default Outlook Search

Hello,

Due to the volume of emails I receive at work I often will search outlook with key words. For example I may type "johnson" to pull up all emails with "Johnson" in the subject line. This was working fine until Friday and out of nowhere the search functionality changed. My search has always been set to "In Folder". Now when searching in my inbox it pulls all emails from sorted folders that i created and also from the sent folder. Any ideas on how to solve this/

1. In Outlook, open the “File” menu.

2. Choose “Options.”

3. Choose “Search” category.

4. In the “Results” section, choose an option.

Outlook has interesting "hidden" filter options that you can type in the search line:

[filter]:[keyword]

For example:

subject:Johnson
to:zero@nothing.com
size:>5 MB
HasAttachment:Yes
Received:Yesterday

This functionality was obviously designed by someone at Microsoft who wistfully remembers command lines!
