Looking for a way to automate moving emails to folder
Small business, and we don't use Exchange. We use iMail, made by Ipswitch. All users have Outlook, though. We have one PC which we use as a way of archiving all email sent to or from any email address in our company. It sends a copy to this one address via BCC. We choose to save these by creating PST files on this one workstation. Different PST file for each quarter of the year. Inside each, we have folders set up for each month. So we manually drag emails over from the Inbox to the September, August, etc. folder. We'd like to do this without a human actually doing the dragging. Is there a way in Outlook 2007 to automate the dragging of emails to a given folder on a daily or weekly basis? |

It may be possible to use a mailing rule to accomplish this. However, since you do not have exchange the rule will only be performed when Outlook is actively opened at your work station.
Note: The rule, being client side, will also ave limitations on the time frame of incoming messages. However, you can use the rule to forward incoming messages to a specific archive folder or sub-folder. |
