Question Outlook Rules disappear from Server upon Exit

Win 11 Pro. Outlook 365 on Exchange .
Was working fine on my laptop, till one day I got a message" Do you want to keep rules on Server or Client?" Unfortunately, chose Client and now ,close to 15 Rules have disappeared from the Server side.
Troubleshooting:-

1.Have deleted the Client Rules and exported them to a file.
2. Despite importing them onto the Server from the same file, they fail to work; just show up briefly but after I click Apply and exit, it's back to square one again.
3. Have painstakingly tried adding each rules from scratch to the Server again, but to no avail.
