Default Outlook Contact file keeps being deleted

In the last 30 days I have waged war with MS Outlook. It keeps deleting my inbox, and then my contacts. I have to keep importing older saves to get them back, but then I have to delete hundreds and hundreds of messages that I originally had deleted due to being spam or whatever.

The biggest problem now is I cannot get my contact list back. Even if I import an older file, the contacts are gone. There is nothing there except one single name out of hundreds.

Now, I know the contact file is still on my computer because I used a program called "Kernel for Outlook PST repair" and it shows the contacts still there, but I just cannot get them to import into Outlook.

I have tried to contact Microsoft technical support, but since they decided to go all robot and remove all human interaction, it is impossible.

Does anyone know how to import just a contact file back into Outlook?
