Outlook window corruption when typing messages
The issue began perhaps one or two months ago. It is basically a PITA issue, for the present work-around is to exit out of Outlook, then restart it.
While entering a message (and most of the time i am one who watches his fingers while trying to type) all of a sudden at some point in the message the Outlook window becomes corrupt, the area in which i type, the top bar and the menu area if opened. I tried the tool MS offers, but because the issue is intermittent and i have not been able to determine the trigger, i could not get it to replicate in a reasonable amount of time, it happens perhaps once or twice a day (i am constantly at my computer). Referring to the attached, i redacted (kind of sloppily) in black, but circled areas of corruption in green. In "outlook corruption 2121.jpg", the entire message area had typing in it that now is blank with some unknown image in the lower portion of it. To mention again, all i have to do is to close outlook then reopen it, and the message i was working on sending is there in proper form! Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! |

OK, so i see no responses - can anyone advise how to get someone from Microsoft to reply?

I can well understand another regular user board member not being able to respond, but someone from MS not responding with even an "We have no clue" is rather disgusting-

I've seen this problem a handful of times with Outlook 2019 starting in November or December 2021. So maybe it's the result of an automatic update.
The screen corruption always happens while I'm typing an email message. The only solution I've found is exit Outlook and restart the program. The trigger appears to related to pressing modifier keys (Shift, Alt, and/or Ctrl) along with something else (an alphanumeric? an arrow key?) Perhaps the problem does not affect folks who drive Outlook primarily by mouse. (I rarely reach for the mouse when I'm using Outlook.) |

THANK YOU!!!
Same "solution" here. I so much appreciate your input and acknowledgement. I guess all the people at Microsoft are still drunk or hung over from their Christmas parties. Maybe it is the decriminalization of other substances, i don't know. Not the Microsoft of 10 years ago, that's for sure. |

Just occurred with a left shift question mark, shut down Outlook, brought it up, but could not replicate. Even tried "left Ctrl ?" but nothing. Then i copied the text up to the "?", pasted it into a new return email, tried to replicate but could not. Sadly, the only explanation i can come up with, is that this is a case where an MS "update" of some sort has messed up a number of computers out there but not enough to put forth the effort to correct, and the lack of MS response is that they don't want to acknowledge the issue. Kind of sick, but that is the only explanation i can think of for their not responding as they historically were fairly quick to respond.

Just happened again without any shift, alt nor ctrl.
Amazing that STILL no one at Microsoft responds. Pretty impressive, in a bad sort of way- |
