When I put a name or word in the search box, a banner pops up that says: “Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. Click here for more details.


When I click the banner, a Microsoft Office Outlook box pops up:
Outlook is currently indexing your items.
Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed
23596 items remaining in “Personal Folders”.
23596 items remaining across all open mailboxes.
I have emptied my deleted and junk folders. I had a lot of messages in a search folder called unopened mail, I have deleted that folder. At the most I have a couple of thousand items in the folders of Personal Folders, but I keep getting this message, and the seardh is not complete, it misses many recent items.
I have shut down Outlook and restarted it numerous times. Nothing seems to help.
