I am trying to assist someone who has this problem:
When he double-clicks an attached Word document in an e-mail in Outlook, the Word document opens in some kind of "previewer" in Outlook rahther than opening in Word. Is there a setting somewhere that controls how attached Word documents open? |

A single click on an attachment opens it in the attachment viewer. A double click should open it in the application associated with the attachment file type. Check the file associations in Windows.
