Default Will switching from Office 365 to Office 2019 solve problems

I have had Office 365 for a couple of years and Outlook for emails worked fine until the last couple of months. The email site gets hung up "synchronizing trash".. I've had a couple of long sessions with MS people trying to fix the problem but have come up without a fix. I have no idea what started the problem and the MS people have taken over my computer to try and find the answer. I am letting my Ofrice 365 run out and have switched to another email client. I prefer the Outlook program for my emails and was wondering if I started over with Office 2016 or Office 2019 instead of 365 if there is a chance I could get it straightened out. If not does MS offer help for those programs. I now very little about computers and I am not sure that this is the proper forum for my question. Thank you for your comments.
