Setting up Gmail in Outlook 2003?
I am a home user still using Office 2003 and have not encountered any problems until now. My PC's hard drive became corrupted. My PC tech transferred all the data to a new disc, but some programs including Outlook 2003 needed resetting. All my other email accounts added successfully, but Gmail, which was working fine before, will not work. The error message says "application-specific password required".
I have followed all online instructions, first checking that Gmail was set up for IMAP. Email address - double-checked Password - double-checked IMAP server: imap.gmail.com port 993, requires SSL SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com, port 465, required SSL SPA not set Outgoing server requires authentication, same settings as incoming Server time-out 5 mins Has anyone any idea how to get thsi working? Thanks! |
