I use a lot of folders to sort my incoming e-mail. Whenever I create a new one, it is populated with a set of default columns, one of which is "Mention." I don't use this one and don't even know what it's for. I've looked through the settings and can't find out how to change the default columns. Is this possible, and if so, how is it done? I would like to remove Mention and add a couple of others. Thanks for any help.

Try removing the Mention column header by r/clicking and clicking Remove This Column.
Should you want to put it back at some point, click an existing column header > View settings > Columns > Locate ‘Mention’ > Select > Add > Move Up/Down if required.
Add/Remove others by the same method.

Yes, this works, and I am aware of this method. While this does remove the Mention column for any new folder I create, it does not prevent it from appearing when I create a new folder. What I want is for when I right-click the column headers on a NEW column and choose View Settings, Columns for Mention not to be in the right-hand column ("Show these columns in this order). What I am trying to get away from is removing it each time.

I have tried it and it seems to prevent 'Mention' appearing in new folders as well as removing it from all existing.

I believe my title says it all. Thanks for the tip. I looked, but this article did not appear in my search results. Thank you!
