Question Can I carry Outlook 2007 with me on a usb stick?

I work on various locations and only have Outlook on my desktop computer.

If I have mail to send or receive I need to use webmail. That way I don't have my mail history and folders available. This is not a good solution.

I would like to have the application Outlook with all my Outlook folders and thus all received and sent messages on a big usb stick that I can put in my laptop or any other PC I come accross. And work with it, just like I do in my home office.

Is removing Outlook from the desktop machine onto a stick an option?
That way I would have to put the stick in my desktop device just like my other computers wherever I am.

Can I install Outlook 2007 on a usb stick, work with the app and carry all messages with me?

Please advise on you experiences or work arounds.
Thanks. Hansio

You cannot run Outlook off of a usb stick. If you want to use Outlook on a pc, the application must be installed on that machine. You can export the information from your Outlook to a pst file, save it on your usb drive. Then when you are at a machine that has Outlook installed on it, you can import the pst file into Outlook.

To add to the above information, if your Email is being hosted by an exchange service, they will most likely use outlook Anywhere or Outlook Web Access.

This a portal that is used with Internet Explorer that you can check your Emails anywhere there is a web connection.

Hope this helps.
