Default Group Policy and Outlook

Hello,
We are looking to enable users to view group schedules without having to go through a maze to get there. Currently, to view group schedules, users need to open Outlook, click Calendar, then select public calendars in public folders, then they have to click in the public calendar, go to Actions>>View Group Schedules>>Select All Employees>>Select Open. This seems so complicated to me and I know our employees will feel it even more strongly!

One of the reasons that we need a new solution is that people stop half way through - after clicking on "Public Calendars" they will then enter their information in the public calendar view, which obviously is ineffective! I know there is a "view group schedules" shortcut in the toolbar, but it defaults to the personal calendar instead of the public.

Is there an easier solution to this? We would the ability to create a shortcut like the quick access toolbar in Word 2007 that goes directly to the public calendar. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks
Seth

Shoffman,

It may be possible to have each user save the containing folder as a favorite. Public folders, when right clicked, have an option to save as a favorite. This can be done with your public calendar. (Please test before allowing your employees to perform these tasks)

Have one of your users follow your steps "open Outlook, click Calendar, then select public calendars in public folders, then they have to click in the public calendar." Have them save this calendar to favorites. They should be able to then only perfomr the last section go to Actions>>View Group Schedules>>Select All Employees>>Select Open.

Please note: since my instance has public folders with one standard view please test this before implementing to our staff.

Hope this helps
