![]() F.Y.I.: This hasn't solved the problem. On the face of it, it does seem that the 'Enter Network Password' popup might be occurring slightly less frequently now, but then given the very intermittent nature of it in the first place, on the strength of barely 24 hours' worth of observation, it's difficult to say. I would have thought that any given solution, if it is a solution, would either make the problem go away altogether or it wouldn't; therefore, if it's occurred at all in the last 24 hours - as it has - then by definition the problem hasn't gone away. Worth a try, but as I believe they say in the States: "Close, but no doughnut". |

I've been struggling with this problem for years and am no closer to a solution. I can confirm that adding pop3.live.com to the trusted sites, use current user credentials does not cure the problem.

For what it's worth: My daughter runs Outlook 2007 under Win 7. I don't remember how we resolved it, but we eliminated or reduced the occurrence of Enter Network Password while the PC was in a "home" environment. Right now, however, she has the PC with her on a trip, and because she's using hotel wi-fi arrangements, she changed to a "public" environment, and the darned thing came back, in spades. Does this give anybody a clue?
One more stupid question. What does the message mean? Is it asking for the email password for the account, or does it want something else entirely? |
