how to protect outlook mail

I had to fix Windows installer. The process uninstalled office. My email is via outlook - stand alone.
I need to reinstall but want to make sure the reinstall does not delete my emails.

advice please

If you still have access to the emails, you can export the mail to a .pst file.

Once you have done this you can re-install Outlook, then load the .pst file in to your new outlook profile.
