Add Calendar Item to Quick Access Toolbar
I have a three monitor set up on Windows 10. My outlook calendar(2010) remains opened all times on one of my monitors. One of my outlook calendar items have the phone numbers for the contacts that I most often need. Currently, I go to my search box and search for the telephone book entry that has the phone numbers in it. Then I open it and scroll down to get to the phone number that I need. Is it possible to add that one telephone book calendar entry item to my quick access toolbar? This way instead of searching for the item, I could just click the button and open my telephone book entry. Thanks for any help |

Create a simple one line macro and add the macro to the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar)
Code:
Sub ViewCal() 'replace "CalendarName" with the name of the Calendar to display Session.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar).Parent.folders("CalendarName").Display End Sub

Thanks...I'll try to add it and post back if I have difficulties. But since there are literally thousands of calendar entries, dont I need a way to point to that particular entry?

Not sure if this is exactly what you want. Hopefully the command I'm going to tell you about was available in Outlook 2010:
From the main Outlook user interface... 1. Click "File" 2. Click "Options" 3. Click "Customize Ribbon" 4. In the "Choose commands from" drop down list, choose "All Commands" 5. Scroll down the list until you arrive at "Find Contact" 6. "Add" it to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) 7. Click "OK" This will add a search box to the QAT. Click in it, and type the name (or part of the name, or the first few characters of the email address) of the person you want to look up. |
