I have a feeling I have made an almighty hen-up.
Basically the inbox has disappeared in my outlook with only an archive folder remaining and all accounts now set to the archive folder. I have a feeling this must be something to do with me trying to register a new work email account. Basically my old work account was set up on a microsoft exchange server. But my company's having some difficulties and was in the process of changing its server. The result was the old company withdrew the service and I was awaiting details for the restoration of my email. In the meantime, I set up some other email accounts I had, such as AOL, up on outlook which I'd never thought of doing before. So I had my old work emails and emails from other accounts on outlook. Today I got the details of my re-established work email address which I think is on POP3 (like my other accounts). But I was having trouble getting it up and running. Then I had the "brainwave" of removing my old account because the email address I was trying to set up was the same. I assume it was this that did it.....but now all I have on Outloook is an archive folder and the remaining accounts all now have this as the folder to which emails go. Also all my contacts have disappeared. Where's my original inbox gone? Is it lost forever? I suspect it is but that scares me because it would mean a lot of important information to me as gone missing.! I really would be grateful for any help and especially if it means getting my old stuff back! |
