Default Can't Add My Gmail Acct to Outlook 2013; Keep Getting Askedfor User Name & Password

Need help adding my Gmail account to Outlook 2013. My OS is WIN 10 Business Pro, 64-Bit. When I test my account settings, a pop-up window appears requesting a User Name & Password for imap.gmail.com. Here are the steps I follow:

Log on to my Gmail acct, proceed to Settings and select the “Forward and POP/IMAP” tab. In the “IMAP Access” section, select “Enable IMAP” and click “Save Changes”.
Open Outlook 2013 and select “Manual setup or additional server types” and click Next. On the POP and IMAP Account Settings page, I enter:
Name
email address (i.e. my Gmail address)
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com
User Name: email address (i.e. my Gmail address)
Password: my Gmail password

Click “More Settings” at the lower right. On the window that opens, click the “Outgoing Server” tab.
Check the box labeled “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
Select the option for “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.
Select the “Advanced” tab
Internet E-mail Settings box opens. In the “Server Port Numbers” section, the server port data is entered in the following order:
Incoming server (IMAP): 993
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Before entering a number for the Outgoing server (SMTP), skip down one line to:
Use the following type of encrypted connection and select: TLS
Go back up one line to:
Outgoing server (SMTP) and enter: 587
Click “OK” at the bottom which brings me back to the POP and IMAP Account Settings page. When I click “NEXT” to test my account settings, I get the pop-up window requesting a User Name & Password for imap.gmail.com.

Have checked and double-checked my User Name (email address) and Password (Gmail password). If anyone can the spot the error of my ways, your wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks!
