Send/receive error Outlook 2007

I frequently get a send/receive error, when i open Outlook 2007, down in the right just above the taskbar. I think it probably happens on incoming mail and with it i can`t open my Firefox 3.6 browser and home page either. It takes several attempts to make it work without the error.I put my pointer on the little monitor in the taskbar and it always says connected. Do you have any suggestions?

are you using a pop account or exchange within Outlook? What OS are you using?

The image doesnt show me whether it's an exchange acct or pop you're setting up

My attachment shows another error message that came up.

I sent an email to my self from webmail and the error in my attachment came up. So, as the error says "mailbox temporarily unavailable as another message is being delivered". maybe that`s it. if so i wonder if there is a workaround?

here is another thread on the send receive error. I would probably just close outlook, go to the control panel, mail, create a new profile and create new accounts. It won't take long and will ensure a clean PST file.

Thank You, i did that and got to where you see in my attachment. I`m not sure what to do there.

Thank You. I tried going to Yahoo.com and others while the "send/receive error" is there and the the internet is connected. I just sent an email to myself from webmail and also from Outlook 2007 and the send/receive error is there. When the emails came in the send/receive error is gone. My attachment "send/receive message" says "mailbox temporarily unavailable as another message is being delivered". I checked the account settings and all is ok. It seems to be happening on incoming mail?
