Default Create 1 Inbox from 2 IMAP accounts

Hey everyone

I have 2 GMail accounts using IMAP; these connect to both my Laptop and my Desktop which each show both email accounts. I am using Outlook 2007 on Windows 7.

Outlook has a Favorite Folders section above and to the left of the emails which selects from the Mail Folders, is there any way I can use one folder in the Favorites section which is a merge of BOTH INBOXES? Otherwise I have to check two places, not hard of course but means I sometimes don't notice new messages for too long.

Thanks in advance for any ideas here

As intended b Microsoft, when having multiple accounts configured inside one Outlook client, each account has its own Inbox. When you add that Inbox to favorites, each inbox displays separately. This cannot be altered.

There is a work around b creating a client side rule that will move items entering one inbox and can be moved to a folder. this is not recommended. However, the rule will allow you to accomplish this. The rule is client side and will only run with Outlook opened.

Hope this helps.
