Default Outlook 2000 SR1a Auto-Resolve Change after EX2K3 Migration

Hello,

Odd problem which I am unsure if people have seen before:

We recently migrated a number of users from Exchange 5.5 to an Exchange 2003 server and since the move, have had reports that the auto-resolve behaviour in Outlook 2000 (SR1a) has changed. When connecting to a 5.5 server, users could look up addresses through a variety of methods ie. fn ln; ln,fn, ln, fn.

After the mailbox was moved, the following no longer works:

ln,fn (with no space between the separating comma and the first name)

ln, fn (with one space between the separating comma and the first name) still works, however.

This may be a question best posted on an Exchange forum in regards to differences in how the GAL gets formed between versions but has anyone ever seen this? (and is it fixable from the Outlook end?)

tia,
RM
