Default making an email look like its been sent already

Hi guys,

To cut a long story short i've been screwed over by a colleague who's trying to earn a few points from the boss.

I need to make an email look like its already been sent already. Ive been asked to send proof of an original email as an attachment (that rules out amending the sent to details on a forwarded email) and I'm not sure how I can do this.

I could change the clock date and time and send the email and it would show in outlook as the changed to date. This would however still mean that the email is sent rather than just looking like it. Is there a way of doing this without the email actually going but so it still shows in sent items (it would always stay in outbox if the internet connection is down)?

I cant change the display name of the sent to email address as the sent to name would still show if someone checked outlook properties.

I really need help here and ideas are most welcome.

Unfortunately there is no way to do this. When sending the email, the time stamp on the receiving end would still show that it was just sent.
