Categories disappeared?

Win7 + Office '07

I had customized Categories. Now, for some odd reason, the customizations have disappeared along with those colors that had been associated with appointments?

Is this a file of some sort that can be 're-attached' to my pst file? Do I need to restore a previous pst file?

This is really, really weird. I've returned and so have the categories. I had not closed and reopened Outlook. The categories simply reappeared ^^
