Outlook Indexing Problem
I have a Windows 10 Laptop with Office 2019. The email account is a straightforward POP3 account. My problem is that indexing fails repeatedly. I've rebuilt the search index so many times and it works for a day or two, but then indexing of new emails just stops. There are no errors (that I can find) just that if I search for an email it doesn't find any past a certain date. Even if I can see that email unread in the inbox, searching for the sender won't find it. There's about 130K search items and rebuilding takes a couple of hours. What can I do to fix this once and for all? |

Turn this on, the log might point you somewhere:
File > Options > Advanced > Other > Enable troubleshooting logging Have a look in… File > Options > Search …at following: 1. Results Change radio button to 'All mailboxes'; Untick 'Improve search speed…' Tick the bottom 'Notify me' 2. Sources, 'Indexing Options…' button There's a bunch of useful-looking stuff there which might help. |
