Outlook 2013: Email autocomplete issue
We have an environment where G-Suites is used for email. Users have Outlook 2013 installed on their desktop. Email accounts are configured using IMAP in Outlook 2013.
While sending an email, if we click on "To" button to browse contacts, I see there are two folders present `Contacts` and `Global Address List`. Suppose in `Contacts` we have- >Name: John Doe >Email: jdoe@domain.com And in `Global Address List` we have- >Name: John Smith >Email: jsmith@domain.com If I send an email to jsmith@domain.com (which is in GAL) then next time if I type `John` in "To" email, I get autocomplete for John Smith to select. On the other hand, if I send and email to jdoe@domain.com (which is in Contacts) then next time if I type John, I get no autocomplete. However, if I type jdoe, it shows me only the email in autocomplete. I want even emails under Contacts should be able to searchable by typing their name. Is this a limitation in Outlook 2013? Can we achieve this somehow? |

Allowing that I use Outlook 365 in POP config, all my contacts in 'Contacts' come up in autocomplete.
All I can think of is that the 'contact card' hasn't been filled out. Afaics the Full Name, File As and Display As all play a role in autocomplete. |
