Default Outlook 365 & Gmail security changes

Gmail was working fine till this week.

Now syncing just fails.

I understand that Google have changed the security around gmail.

We have googled this and the advice is to access gmail via chrome, access Gmail security, and turn on 'Less secure apps'.

Having done this and verified it is updated Outlook still fails to download new emails.

Does Microsoft have an answer to this as generally I have not found a workable answer other than binning Outlook?

I don't have an answer for you. I experienced the same problem months ago, and turning on Less Secure Apps solved it for me.

I'm using Outlook 365 and my email is POP.
