Cannot save an opened message
Each time I open a message, download the pictures and then try to close down Outlook 2016, a dialogue box pops up "Want to save your changes?" If I select "Yes" the dialogue box states "The item cannot be saved because it was changed by another user or in another window. Do you want to make a copy in the default folder for the item?"
This has only started appearing over the last week or so? How do I fix this issue? |

I just tried your scenario, and Outlook 365 closed without any message. When I reopened it, the message was there with the downloaded pictures intact. Which suggests the solution may lie in identifying why you get that dialog. Look in the Trust Center > Automatic Download If most of the messages where you want to download pics from come from sources you trust, right-click in the top of such messages on the 'Click here to download…' instruction. This allows you to add the sender or domain to Safe Senders list, which as far as I know will auto-download pics from them. |
