Outlook 2016/2019 can't read data file
My wife's computer has a very problem with outlook. Eversince February outlook can't open the data file. Error:0x8004010FJ. I have checked the data file on my own computer by putting it on a usb-stick and installing her account on my computer. Nothing wrong with the file it took 5 minutes to download all the mail accumalated since february. I have put this fully operative pst file to her computer overwriting the old one. Now she has got all the missing mail, but still her outlook cant open the file. I have checked her pop account and ran the tes. The account can send and receive. So what the hell is wrong? |

Check her Outlook account on her machine, specifically the Data File location—confirm it matches where the file actually is.
Yours sounds like a home setup, ie not linked into an Exchange server or similar? Is she using IMAP or POP? Is the file OST or PST? This should be fixable, once we know your setup. |

Of course I have checked the data location. The warning reads: can't open data file, not can't find data file.
She uses pop3 and pst not imap . |

I have solved the problem. Replacing the user profile with a new one did the trick.
