deleted emails reappear in inbox

outlook 2007 in Vista is going haywire with all my old deleted emails keep returning to my In box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an exchange account? pop account?

When you delete the email does it show up in the deleted items folder? If yes, when the email reappears in the inbox is there still a copy in the deleted items folder?

Hi Shawn, I have a Pop account with yahoo. When I delete an email it first goes to the Deleted Items folder. My In box started repopulating all my old deleted emails all the way back to May-I had over 500 emails piling into the in box, so when I delete them they go to the Deleted Items Folder and then I would right click on the Deleted Items folder to delete the entire folder and they still come back to my In box. I got a message from McAfee that said they thought an email from Career Builder had a virus on it and they were blocking it, but I probably opened it because I'm looking for a job and now my computer is screwed up.

Any assistance with this is really appreciated!
