Default Outlook 2010 Inbox notification

I'm sure it's just a setting somewhere that I've not yet found...

I have Outlook 2k10 checking 7-8 POP email accounts. Each email account is indicated in the navigation pane on the left. When the separate accounts are minimized in the navigation pane all I see is the email account. There is no indication that there are new emails unless you expand that particular account.

Also, in the top of the navigation pane there's an icon for the inbox but that seems to be only for the primary email account.

Here's what I'd like. Perhaps it's not possible but hopefully, it's just a setting thing.

Is there a way to have each minimized account in the navigation pane indicate for that account whether or not there are any new emails without expanding the account?

Is there a way to have ALL new emails for ALL accounts be indicated in a global inbox?

What I'd like to see is whether or not there are any new emails by just glancing at the navigation pane.
