Unhappy Outlook and POP emails

I have installed Office 365 on a new computer. Everything is fine apart from Outlook. It will not send/receive - update any of the POP email accounts I have added to it. It does it for any of the Exchange accounts but not the POP ones. This is an exact copy of the Outlook I have on another 2 computers and they work fine. This makes me think there is something wrong outside of Outlook but I am lost for suggestions. When I try to do a Send/Receive I get the error message that the server is not available - although it does update the Exchange accounts. I have little hair anyway but, before I lose what I have left, could someone maybe give me some pointers?
