Outlook 2016 cannot write to shared calendar.
We've recently moved from Windows 7 with Office 2010 to Windows 10 (1709) with Office 2016. We still use the same Exchange 2010 server. Increasingly users have intermittent problems writing entries in Shared Calendars. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Some people have no problems some have always problems. The workstations are imaged from 1 MDT generated image, so all workstation installations are equal. We do apply monthly updates via SCCM for both the OS and Office. When it does not the error popping up is: "The item cannot be saved to this folder. The folder was deleted or moved, or you do not have permission..." The user does have permission, it was never a problem when adding calendar entries from Windows 7/Office 2010 etc. I found the following informational entry in the "Applications and Services Logs" under the "Microsoft Office Alerts": The same text as mentioned above plus: P1:300123 P2:16.0.4771.1000 P3: Nothing in the Windows Event logs. The Outlook version, from the About, shows Microsoft Outlook 2016 MSO 16.0.4738.100 it is from the .msi version of Office 2016 For what it is worth, the users are very unhappy, the calendars are very important for the operations here....
