Outlook contacts and Global Address List
I am using exchange 2007\Office 2007. I have set up exchange for this domain. When my clients open thier outlook. The GAL does not populate contacts. Is there a way to make the GAL populate contacts, in a domain enviroment, globaly. I know the user can copy the GAL to the their address book, however I am looking for a way to do this globaly. Thanks for your help.

I know this is a feature with Outlook 2010 but it may work for your outlook client.
1. Open your outlook client 2. Select your contacts folder or contacts tab 3. you have an address book icon, when you click this icon you can then see every contact in the GAL 4. to add anyone of these contacts to your local contacs, simply right click the contact. A small window will appear select add to contacts. This is the only manual way to add these contacts to your local contact list. The other know way is to have the GAL exported to .CSV file to be imported to your local contacts. Hope this Helps. |
