Default Need to have 'old' Outlook on new laptop

How do I uninstall pre-loaded Outlook from my new Acer (running Win 10) and install the 'old' Outlook from my Home & Student 2007 disc ? I can then transfer existing emails etc. to my new laptop.

I do not want any 'cloud' based programs as my internet is on a metered connection and my existing Outlook is more than adequate for my needs.

Presumably, your new laptop comes has Office 365 or 2016 installed. Unless you're not planning the register/use that, Outlook 365/2016 will work just fine with your Outlook 2007 data files & settings; there is no need to reinstall Outlook 2007.

Many thanks for you prompt response. Just to clarify, I need to register the new Outlook and then I will be able to import the emails etc. from the 'old' system using the 'Export to .pst file'

It's not a case of registering the new Outlook vs not needing to do so with the old one; whether you use Outlook 2007 or 2016, the requirement will be the same insofar as setting up the account details on your new system is concerned.

Regrettably, I am becoming more confused. I currently use 'old' Outlook as a 'vehicle' to access my emails etc. sent to .....@vodamail.co.za This version of Outlook allows me to go to 'Accounts' and set up my POP and SMTP details, passwords etc. used to access emails which are held on my ISP's server.
I have looked at the new Outlook and can't find any way of doing this. Maybe at 77 I'm getting too old for all this !!!

Again, many thanks. I have got at least part way to getting some emails moved but I absolutely don't like the new Outlook and the way it works. (Yes, I may be a 77-year old fuddy duddy but....).
I really just want to get the old 2007 Outlook on my new laptop so that I can move the files and then put the old machine out to pasture. Various pages on the web advise I can get a download from digitalriver but the link just returns 'file not found'. I do have a licence key for Office Enterprise 2007 which is from where, I believe, I originally loaded Outlook 2007.

The first thing to be aware of is that, if you have Office 365, rather than Office 2016, you cannot install Outlook 2007 and have anything from Office 365 installed as well.

If you have Office 2016 but you really want Outlook 2007 (which is no longer supported by MS) on your new computer, you need to uninstall Office 2016, then install just Outlook 2007 before reinstalling all of Office 2016 except for Outlook. Naturally, you'll need the installation files for both. AFAIK, though, the Office 2007 backup download is no longer available, so you would need to have the actual installation media for it.
