I have a problem where sometimes at will Microsoft outlook version 2003 sp2 will start synchronizing and takes over the computer and slows the computer down to the point i just have to sit and let it finish . I haven't been able to find a setting for this and don't want to and can't work offline. Anybody know how to fix this ?

Please follow the instructions below to stop Automatic Sync in Outlook 2003.

1. Open Outlook 2003.
2. Select the Tools Menu.
3. Choose Send/Receive.
4. Click Send/Receive Settings.
5. In the Send/Receive Settings window, disable Scheduled Send/Receive.
