Default Problem with "follow up"......

So, I have this really weird problem in Outlook 2016 that has started this morning and I can't find any way to stop it.

When I am moving through my emails in the main screen, the emails are rapidly and automatically switching between start/complete follow up, if that makes sense?

I have tried restarting Outlook, opening outlook in safe mode, right clicking individual emails and going "follow up> clear flag" but nothing makes a difference.

I have never seen this before.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Montana
